The ShiftGrit Core Method is made up of two key components:

Reconditioning – Our technique for rewiring the brain’s response to triggers by removing the original threat association
This method is used to support both clinical and non-clinical concerns — from burnout and anxiety to self-sabotage and high-performance identity struggles.
Many clients come to us after trying traditional talk therapy or self-help tools — only to find that insight didn’t translate to change.
That’s because the reactions they’re trying to change aren’t just cognitive — they’re wired into what we call the Walnut Brain, the part of the mind responsible for detecting and responding to perceived threats.
The ShiftGrit Core Method addresses this directly, helping clients recognize and shift the internal patterns keeping them stuck.
We begin by teaching clients about identity-level patterns — how they form, and how they show up in the present.
These are often based on deeply rooted limiting beliefs like:
“I’m not good enough”
“If I slow down, I’ll fall behind”
“People only value me when I’m useful”
These beliefs lead to pressure, burnout, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and even physical exhaustion.
Once the pattern is clear, we move into a reconditioning process that uses imaginal exposure and structured protocols to remove the emotional charge from the belief itself.
This often leads to:
Fewer automatic stress responses
Improved emotional regulation
Reduced reactivity in key relationships
More freedom to act from choice, not fear
